Congratulations Helen and Dennis! Getting married on a golf course at the Costa Mesa Country Club was most fitting as Dennis is a golf fanatic. I love the photos we took on the golf course after the ceremony - especially on the golf cart. They were the cutest couple riding around the golf course in a gown and tux! We had the greatest time and probably disrupted the concentration of some of the golfers on the course. ;) This sweet couple made me feel like part of the family, and it was a real pleasure getting to know them! Jennifer & Guillermo | Los Angeles River Center Wedding
Congratulations Jennifer and Guillermo! This really nice couple got married at a gorgeous and VERY large Catholic church. They even had a Mariachi band play at the altar! Their reception was at the Los Angeles River Center where they had an awesome candy bar and great details. My favorite was their cake topper which were two love birds. :) After Jennifer changed into her ballet slippers, she got re-energized and danced the night away!

Jennifer & Guillermo Engagement Session
My wife and I just returned from an AWESOME vacation in Maui! We will be posting pics from our trip so stay tuned. Now time to continue updating the blog. :) Jennifer and Guillermo wanted to take their engagement photos at the location of where he proposed to her, which I thought was such a neat idea! They did such a great job, and I loved the vibrancy of Jennifer's dress. Don't they have such cute dimples? :P Pictures from their beautiful wedding at the Los Angeles River Center will be coming next!

Beth & James Engagement Session
I love my job!!! Not only do I get the photograph people on one of the happiest days of their lives, but I also get to go to the happiest place on earth! Beth and James love Disneyland as much as my wife and I do, and we all hold annual passes. It was the most fitting place for them to have their engagement shoot, and it was so much fun. I think they did such a great job, and I am really looking forward to their wedding! [gallery link="file" columns="1" orderby="title" size="full"]
Nga Ting & Omair | Hyatt Westlake Plaza Wedding
Congratulations Nga Ting and Omair! This couple did a great job blending their two cultures, Chinese and Pakistani, for their wedding at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza in Thousand Oaks. I loved the colorful details, and the Pakistani outfits were gorgeous! After their traditional Muslim ceremony, they changed into their Western attire. I must say the reception food was one of the best I've ever had. It was a smorgasbord of Indian and Middle Eastern... mmmm MMMMM! :)

They will have a traditional Muslim wedding which will be very fun to photograph! We really look forward to their wedding at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza in Thousand Oaks.

Helen & Dennis Engagement Session
Helen and Dennis are such a sweet couple. For their engagement session, they came so well prepared and even had a change of clothes. Great for a different look! They're a lot of fun to be around, and I really enjoy their company. I look forward to photographing their wedding at the Costa Mesa Country Club!

Baby Sophia Turns 1!
It was Baby Sophia's 1st birthday and I had the privilege of taking photos of this absolutely adorable little girl. She's like a living doll and loves to be in front of the camera. She is definitely a natural and adores Elmo! Happy 1st Birthday Sophia!

The Wong Family
We had the pleasure of photographing family portraits for this beautiful family, the Wong's. Their baby daughter Sabrina was full of energy and super cute in front of the camera. They are a really sweet family, and we are so honored that they used the photographs for their Christmas cards!

Day After Shoot
Many of our couples ask if we can do a Day After Shoot, otherwise known as "Trash the Dress" for them, and the answer is YES! We think this type of photo shoot is a great idea because not only does it give the bride a chance to wear her gorgeous and expensive gown again, but it captures the couple's moment together in a more relaxed and casual environment. We don't really like to call this "Trash the Dress" since it doesn't reflect the type of shoot we do. We don't encourage couples to submerge themselves under water, roll around in the mud, and destroy a $5000 gown. However, to each his/her own. We want the photographs to still be beautiful and natural. Check out the Day After Shoot we did for Kelsey and Scott, and again as always, they were so photogenic and fantastic. Thanks guys! :) [gallery link="file" columns="1" orderby="title" size="full"]
2009 Bride's Choice Awards!
WeddingWire, the nation's leading wedding technology company, just announced that Sean J. Mason Photography has won the 2009 Bride's Choice Awards™!

Karen & Vin | Pasadena Museum of History Wedding
Congratulations Karen and Vin! Karen and Vin had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony at Karen's parents house where she wore her Grandma's exquisite Chinese wedding gown. Karen then changed into a traditional western wedding gown, and then for the reception, into her mother's Chinese qi pao. Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Pasadena Museum of History. Luckily, we finished taking most of the formal photographs prior to the ceremony since it started to rain. Right after the ceremony finished, it poured! We were able to get some great photographs inside the museum, and the day was still beautiful.

Jennifer & Robert | Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden Wedding
Congratulations Jennifer and Robert! Jennifer is one of the "suite " brides who purchased her gorgeous gown by Lea-Ann Belter at my wife's shop The Ivory Suite. This endearing couple had the most heartfelt wedding at the beautiful Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden at Cal State Long Beach. They had a butterfly release during the ceremony, and the most amazing thing was that three of the butterflies remained on her bouquet throughout the night after being transferred from her gown and his tux. The three butterflies represented their parents, as they were smiling down on them from above. [gallery link="file" columns="1" orderby="title" size="full"]
Stephanie Lincoln Head Shots
I had the pleasure of taking commercial head shots for Stephanie Lincoln, who also modeled for our Los Angeles Weddings Magazine ad. I am always so amazed at her natural talent in front of the camera. She is currently working on landing more commercial gigs so definitely keep a watch out for her! [gallery link="file" columns="1" orderby="title" size="full"]
Erin & Tanner Engagement Session
We first met Erin when she came in with her wonderful family to try on gowns at my wife's bridal boutique, The Ivory Suite. She bought a beautiful gown there and also booked us to be her wedding photographer. We can't wait to photograph her and Tanner's wedding at the Hotel Laguna. It's going to be amazing!

Becky & Mark | Stuart Pasadena Wedding
Becky and Mark's wedding was a blast to photograph! They are both architects who hone a flare for design, and the love for mid-century design. Their venue was at The Stuart in Pasadena - a mid-century converted office building with a large subterranean atrium. They somehow managed to talk the owners of the building into renting it out for their reception. It was the first, and perhaps last, wedding reception to be held at the venue. It played right into Becky and Mark's mid-century theme, and the details, including the wedding cake all tied into the design. Their wedding was absolutely marvelous!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone! We look forward to another very exciting year in 2009. We are getting busier than ever which we are so grateful for. The other good news is that we will NOT be raising our rates in 2009! We are keeping our low and very reasonable 2008 rates, which I am sure you are excited about. :) We look forward to meeting you in this New Year of 2009!
South Pasadena Strings Program
I had the privilege of working with Susan Pascale, the Director of South Pasadena Strings Program, to take some portraits of her daughter and students. These kids are so precious with their instruments, and truly have a lot of talent. They will be going to Carnegie Hall in April 2009 which is very exciting! The boys will be wearing little penguin tuxes purchased from my wife's bridal shop The Ivory Suite.
